If you are a gaming veteran, you must have been a fan of the famous ‘World War Toons,’ one of the VR’s earliest first-person shooter (FPS) games, which is no longer available. But now Korean company STOIC entertainment is bringing a neat FPS game based on the IP of World War Toons.
STOIC’s World War Toons: Tank Arena is an FPS game that provides 4:4 multiplay. The Tank Arena is a VR tank game for Oculus Quest2 that maximizes various interactions using hands and, at the same time, emphasizes maps and strategic play using tank characteristics.
Unlike previous tank games, it minimizes a control panel, so one player can play the tank alone. This method gives the user the feeling of being on a real tank while casual. Its fast-tempo play maximizes the fun of a multiplay-based shooting game.
STOIC Entertainment is a developer who provides immersive content based on the offline market, and its sales have grown continuously since its establishment in 2014. Although sales growth has slowed due to COVID-19, the company has secured its sales based on offline to the online conversion of its business base. In 2022, it is predicted that the results of these past efforts will be visible, and the company has set a goal of 30% sales growth of $ 1.5 million compared to the previous year.
STOIC Entertainment has been founded by Yoon Hwa Choi, who is an expert game developer who has worked on 9 popular games, including My Little Chef and Hong Seok Kim, a professor at Sogang University and the first secretary of the Korea VR Industry Association. STOIC Entertainment, as part of KOCCA’s South Korean game developers delegation, will showcase World War Toons: Tank Arena at Gamescom 2022 in Germany in August 2022.
