Immutable, a web3 gaming platform partners with MARBLEX, Netmarble’s blockchain gaming platform to revolutionize gaming using zkEVM technology in the web3 ecosystem. This collaboration will migrate MARBLEX and several other major IP titles to Immutable zkEVM, powered by Polygon, specifically designed for gamers.
MARBLEX, a blockchain subsidiary of Netmarble Corp, is committed to delivering top-quality blockchain games. Netmarble, a global leader in mobile game development and publishing, boasts over 6,000 industry veterans and blockchain experts.
MARBLEX offers services like a cryptocurrency wallet, decentralized exchange, token staking, and an NFT marketplace. The MBX ecosystem, launched by MARBLEX, enhances gamer experiences through engagement and rewards, integrating into popular Netmarble titles such as “Meta World: My City,” “A3: Still Alive,” “Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds,” and “The King of Fighters Arena.”
Migration to Immutable zkEVM
This partnership includes the migration of MARBLEX’s platform and three live Netmarble titles:
“Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds”: An MMORPG blending the real and fantasy worlds with vibrant 3D graphics and high-quality cutscenes.
“A3: Still Alive”: A dark fantasy open-world RPG combining intense combat and a battle royale mode.
“Meta World: My City”: The sequel to “Let’s Get Rich,” featuring board game mechanics and virtual land in the metaverse.
Boosting Developer and Gamer Experience
Following the migration from the Klaytn Layer 1 chain, all MARBLEX gaming apps, games, and tokens will operate exclusively on Immutable zkEVM, joining over 330 titles already on Immutable. With over 1.8 million monthly users, Immutable zkEVM remains a preferred choice due to its robust offerings like the Immutable Passport, a non-custodial wallet, and the Immutable Global Orderbook, which enhances asset exposure and liquidity.
Robbie Ferguson, Co-founder and President of Immutable, emphasized the significance of this partnership, particularly highlighting South Korea’s pivotal role in Web3 gaming. Ferguson expressed excitement about helping MARBLEX and Netmarble scale to millions of players globally.
Support for Developers
In addition, Immutable and MARBLEX have launched the “Ecosystem Boost Program,” providing up to $20 million in technical and financial support to developers, aimed at accelerating game development and attracting new titles.
Hong Jin Pyo, CEO of MARBLEX, highlighted the importance of partnering with Immutable to ensure scalability and deliver the best gaming experiences. He praised Immutable’s zkEVM technology for providing the necessary infrastructure.
This partnership marks Immutable’s second major AAA collaboration, with numerous future releases planned. Immutable aims to lead the web3 gaming industry, providing developers with tools to build and launch successful games on Ethereum. Immutable offers multiple zk-based scaling options, including Immutable X and Immutable zkEVM, reinforcing its position as a global leader in digital gaming ownership.
