PlayerUnknown’s BattleGround or PUBG needs no introduction. After immense success, PUBG made its way to mobile devices. PUBG mobile gives you a somewhat full experience of the game that was initially launched on PC.
PUBG needs no introduction. The game can be found on the majority of devices around the world. Everyone nowadays is enjoying the battle royale experience in their mobile devices.
In July 2019, developers of PUBG, Tencent Games launched PUBG lite. The newer version of PUBG mob, PUBG lite, was released for entry/mid-level devices. To learn more differences between the two games, follow us.
PUBG Lite & PUBG Mobile
PUBG mob is in the category of performance-hungry games. After noticing that PUBG mobile wasn’t working well on the entry or mid-level devices, Tencent Games released PUBG lite.
PUBG Lite is aimed at devices that don’t have enough processing and RAM power. Unlike PUBG mob, PUBG lite can smoothly run on smartphones or tablets, which doesn’t have high specifications.
PUBG Lite is toned for entry-level devices that don’t want to miss the battle royale action. It’s a smart move by Tencent Games as they aren’t forgetting people who don’t have access to high-end mobile devices.
Now let’s compare some of the significant differences between the two versions of PUBG.
Graphics Comparison of PUBG Lite & PUBG Mob
Both versions of PUBG are using the Unreal Engine 4 or EU4. As being the older brother of PUBG lite, PUBG mob has better overall graphics. PUBG Lite lacks object details, texture quality, and other aspects as it’s run on low-performance devices.
The graphics look pretty mediocre on PUBG lite if you are switching from PUBG mob. Other than that, the gaming experience is still the same.
Requirements of PUBG Mobile & PUBG Lite
PUBG stats on requirements are somewhat shocking. PUBG mobile requires at least 2GB ram & 2 GB of free storage. While the lite version of PUBG only requires 1GB ram and 500mb of free space on your device.
PUBG update on mobile and lite versions are different in size & features. PUBG update on the mobile version is significant as compared to the PUBG lite.
Map Changes in PUBG Mob & Lite
The main difference you’ll notice in between maps of PUBG lite and mobile is the size. Maps in the lite version are only 2x2kms in size, which is nothing for players who are comfortable with PUBG mob.
On the lite version of PUBG, there are only two maps, Erangel and War, as compared to four on PUBG mob. Moreover, the Erangel map on the lite version doesn’t feel familiar as the locations and surroundings are completely different from those in PlayerUnknown’s Battleground mobile.
Time & Player Cap Polarity in PUBG Lite & Mobile
The lite version of PlayerUnknown’s Battleground is a fast-paced game as compared to PUBG mobile. The average match on the original version of PUBG lasts for about 25-45 minutes, whereas PUBG lite matches stretch to a maximum of 10 minutes.
The player cap on the mobile PUBG is 100 players per match. On the lite version of PUBG, only 40 players can join the game. Note that the player cap on PUBG lite was later increased to 60 players per match.
PUBG Mob is available on both iOS & Google Play Store, while PUBG lite is only available on android devices. If your low-end smartphone is ruining your PUBG experience, try the lite version today!
