The real-time strategic defensive mobile game “Defense Derby” will launch its early access test on 27 April 2023, according to an announcement made by RisingWings, an independent studio of KRAFTON, Inc.
With its intensive mind games and potent card synergy effects, the real-time strategy game “Defense Derby” in the Tower Defense genre gives players a new level of pleasure.
In September 2022, users first got a sneak peek at the game during its pre-testing phase. Many players even claimed it to be one of the best tower defense games ever created after experiencing the in-game features.
Each round in the PvP game involves four players defending their castles from waves of approaching enemies.
The players build a deck of cards through scouting and use it to defend their castles from monsters during each round until only one player is left.
The scouting mechanism encourages players to predict their opponent’s next move and make a daring attempt, and the strategic card deployment to produce various synergy effects make the game unique.
Players can now take advantage of more immersive gameplay and heart-pounding mental activities.
Early access test will help refine game quality before the release
Defense Derby has started the last leg of its push to improve the quality of the game with this early access test. Players can download the game from Google Play to participate in the test from April 27 through May 11.+
This early access test adds the “Path of Guardian” step-by-step growth system. Players can earn various awards depending on how far they advance in the league.
Additionally, the acquisition of cards has changed from the global pre-release test version from the previous year, and players can now combine units during battles for a more strategic gameplay experience.
There is also an event mode called “Derby Free Fight – Mirror Match” that enables all players to play Derby using the same deck provided, allowing everyone to enjoy the game without being constrained by their deck.
Moonchul Kang, Vice President of RisingWings, said, “We are launching the early access test before the official release to provide players with a high-quality game. During the test period, we plan to collaborate with influencers to showcase content that introduces the fun of Defense Derby, and we aim to communicate actively with our users.”
