The event caught the fans’ fancy by predicting what lies ahead for Xbox owners until the end of 2022. It included a more extended look at Starfield, news about Overwatch, a gameplay demo of Forza Motorsports, and much more. Redfall is the first Gameplay to be revealed at the Xbox event
Redfall Gameplay was the first to be announced at the Xbox and Bethesda Games showcase event. Xbox game studio, Bethesda, and other third-party studios, including Activision Blizzard, which Microsoft will acquire for $68.7 billion, were all present during the release.

Set in the town of Massachusetts, Redfall rotates around gamers fighting blood-sucking vampires who have taken over the once thriving town. Players can form a squad or play solo to rid the city of its vampire menace. The six-minute gameplay footage showcased the different heroes with their unique abilities and the type of vampires’ players will face in the game.
Not many details about the game were divulged during the event, but the makers of the video game, Arkane Austin, confirmed that the game will be available by 2023. The game’s trailer has left fans drooling for the game’s release at the earliest.
Hollow Knight’s fans finally have an announcement to rejoice
Silksong, a sequel to Hollow Knight, was first teased in February 2019. However, the last time fans heard anything about this sequel to the celebrated indie Metroidvania was in December 2020 in an article published by The Edge Magazine. After that, Team Cherry, the game’s developer, went into hibernation.
It was during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, and to a big sigh of relief from the fans, it is now confirmed that the game is coming to Xbox and PC Game Pass at launch. Sarah Bond, Head of Xbox Creator Experience, has confirmed that all games showcased at the event will be released by June 2023 and the same stand true for Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Riot games team up with Microsoft
As gamers rejoiced during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase event with the titles being announced, what came as a big surprise was Microsoft teaming up with Riot Games as Xbox Game Pass increases its PC games. The titles coming to Xbox Games Pass for both PC and Mobile will also provide players with a slew of incentives and bonuses.

The notable titles from Riot Games that will be coming to Xbox Game Pass include League of Legends (PC), League of Legends: Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra (PC & Mobile), and Teamfight Tactics (PC & Mobile), and Valorant (PC). These titles will be available for Xbox Game Pass members from 2022 winter.
Overwatch 2 confirmed to be free-to-play at launch
Overwatch 2 is the sequel to the previous game overwatch will see several changes. The online PVP shooting game by Blizzard Entertainment got a release date of October 4, 2022. Fans who have been anticipating the game received the news in bits and pieces for the past few months. However, they got a release date and information about the game’s beta version during the Xbox event.
Overwatch 2 will get two new heroes, Sojourn and Junker Queen and at least two new maps, namely Toronto and New York. It will have new game modes like push and multiple hero works. It will follow the 5v5 PVP style instead of the standard 6V6 style. The game will also have a PVE version that will be released separately.
Ark 2 all set for the 2023 release
As reported earlier by KoreaGameDesk, Ark 2 was a showstopper at the Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase. During the event, the official release date of Ark 2 has been set for the spring of 2023. A press release by Studio Wildcard later on June 12 said, “Fjordur, the newest official ARK community map, released today on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Stadia! This Nordic style cold-weather map is free to download for all ARK players, this Nordic style, cold-weather map features four new creatures to tame and over 140 sq kilometers of new biomes, new challenges, and rewarding discoveries.”
Diabolo 4 trailer introduces an all-new class
During the event, another major release by Blizzard Entertainment was the trailer for Diabolo 4, which is expected to be released by 2023. The trailer displayed a good deal of Gameplay with features enabling game offers of cross-play, cross-progression across PC and consoles, and couch co-op. The new trailer revealed a fifth class of Necromancer in the game that can summon undead minions.
Blizzard also opened up pre-registration for Diabolo 4’s beta on their website. The game is set to have 150 dungeons, and new maps will open up for players as the game progresses.
Forza motorsport gameplay stuns gamers
The Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase also had the first actual Gameplay of the Forza Motorsport, the eighth mainline entry in the Forza series. The Gameplay has left fans stunned with its high level of realism. Turn 10’s upcoming racing game will be another visual stunner with features like temperature and weather impacting the tire grip and racing conditions in-game, which is true to the developer’s promise of bringing in 48 times improvement in the fidelity physics simulation.
Startfield, Bethesda first new IP in over 25 years
The closure to the event was the Gameplay of Starfield, which is already being touted as one of the most well-designed massively multiplayer online role-playing games. Reditters are already comparing the game with Fallout and No Man’s sky, with players claiming to be 1000 percent sold out just by watching the Gameplay release during the Xbox event.
The game starts with a player and a robotic companion venturing onto a planet on their journey with heavily customizable in-game items. The game’s scope is extensive, starting from a city and reaching out to worlds within a system that will keep players hooked to it for a long time.
