81RAVENS, the Singapore-based game development studio, has secured $4.5 million in seed funding led by DIGITAL HEARTS HOLDINGS and GREE Ventures for PARAVOX, a free-to-play 3v3 arena shooter that will soon launch on the Solana blockchain, bringing a GameFi twist to esports and setting a new standard for blockchain-integrated gaming experiences.
Already in Global Open Alpha, PARAVOX is set to push esports into a new era of blockchain integration, connecting gamers and communities worldwide.
Established in 2020, 81RAVENS has rapidly emerged as an industry disruptor in Asia’s gaming sector. With a team of veteran developers and esports organizers, 81RAVENS launched PARAVOX to offer an adrenaline-fueled shooter experience that rewards tactical precision and skill mastery.
The recent funding will enable deeper integration with Solana’s blockchain, renowned for its low transaction costs and rapid scalability. This infrastructure ensures smooth, real-time interactions for PARAVOX players while reducing friction in blockchain transactions, aligning with the team’s mission to build a seamless esports platform.
81RAVENS’ CEO Shimpei Yoshimura said that the studio aims to address and improve the fairness of reward distribution across the gaming ecosystem. By embedding tokens into PARAVOX, 81RAVENS enables all participants—players, viewers, and content creators—to gain equitable recognition and reward, a vision powered by Solana’s robust blockchain ecosystem.
PARAVOX’s Global Appeal and Esports Impact
PARAVOX has attracted over 100,000 downloads since its Private Alpha launch on the Epic Games Store, particularly in Japan and Southeast Asia, where the studio has established a solid player base. In PARAVOX, players compete in fast-paced 3v3 matches with unique weapon abilities that elevate the intensity of each battle.
Beyond individual skills, success requires strategic teamwork, giving PARAVOX an edge in competitive gaming. The game will soon be available on Steam, with an enhanced version slated for release at the end of 2024.
This year, 81RAVENS launched the PARAVOX Global Rapid Tournament (PGRT), its first major esports event, drawing half a million viewers and featuring a prize pool of 100 million yen (approximately 600k dollars). With teams like LOUD, ZETA DIVISION, and Blacklist International competing, PARAVOX quickly established itself as a heavyweight in the global esports circuit. A second major tournament is scheduled for December 2024, building on the game’s explosive growth in the esports scene.
Industry Leaders Support GameFi Expansion
The success of PARAVOX and its blockchain model has earned it strong backing from industry leaders. DIGITAL HEARTS Holdings’ CEO Toshiya Tsukushi praised 81RAVENS for its fresh approach, emphasizing that PARAVOX offers a “unique and exciting” 3v3 experience. GREE Ventures’ CEO Shintaro Aikawa, who has known Yoshimura since his early days, echoed the sentiment, expressing confidence in the game’s potential to redefine the GameFi sector with strategic blockchain integration.
Founded in Singapore, 81RAVENS aims to redefine esports by merging high-speed action with blockchain technology, building a unique environment where players and contributors benefit equally. The studio sets a new benchmark in esports through its partnerships and innovations, bridging the gap between gaming and decentralized finance.
PARAVOX invites players to join high-stakes battles that test both reflexes and strategy. From its dynamic weapon abilities to intense map control tactics, the game offers a truly immersive gaming experience. With its ongoing development on the Solana blockchain, 81RAVENS ensures PARAVOX provides players with a cutting-edge platform where rewards flow seamlessly across the esports community.
